The United States has discovered nearly $1 trillion in untapped mineral deposits in Afghanistan, far beyond any previously known reserves and enough to fundamentally alter the Afghan economy and perhaps the Afghan war itself, according to senior American government officials.

One response to “What’s the Afgan War Really All About?

  1. Wow! That’s a lot of mineral deposits! Based on my limited knowledge, I believe it exceeds the total value of all the gold, silver & platinum ever refined (maybe copper too). On the positive side, if we can take over the country and claim all these minerals for the USA, it will come pretty close to reimbursing us for what it will finally cost us to convert Afghanistan into a “democracy” (like us)
