There is very little that I buy from major supermarket chains, and when I do buy something, I’m careful to read the labels. As a general rule, I avoid anything that contains artificial colorings, flavorings, or preservatives. The giant food corporations want us to believe that everything the put into their products is safe, but the overwhelming weight of evidence tells me otherwise.
There are many websites where you can easily find credible information about specific additives. One that I have recently discovered that goes into other health issues, as well, is Nutrition Facts by Dr. Michael Greger M.D.
