One response to “Resilience and Local Self-reliance: Can Cuba Teach Us Something?

  1. As I’ve said for many years, the harder it is to survive, the greater the ability and creativity of individuals becomes in achieving survival.

The more we protect and pamper, the less survival abilioty is achieved.

I called it “The Cockroach Theory of History”.

Create poisons that kill cockroaches, and eventually trhey get fat off the very food that once poisoned them. Create antibiotics that kill viruses, and germs, and you ultimately create antibiotic resistant viruses that spread such genes to other bacteria.

    Pressure makes diamonds.
